This is an application seeking exemption from filing originals/certified/cleared/typed or translated copies of documents, left side margins, electronic documents, etc.
Original documents shall be produced/filed at the time of Admission/Denial, if sought, strictly as per the provisions of the Delhi High Court (Original Side) Rules, 2018. 3.
Exemption is allowed, subject to all just exceptions. 4.

The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner/Claimant-Sterling and Wilson Pvt. Ltd. under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of mandate of the ld. Arbitral Tribunal by six months.

It is the case of the Petitioner that the Respondent awarded to the Petitioner work for carrying out the Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Plumbing Works at Hospital Block, Medical college, Research Block, Convention Centre & Auditorium "Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences" at Sector 88, Faridabad, Haryana (hereinafter, 'Work Order') vide letter dated 3rd August, 2018.

It is averred in the Petition that dispute arose between the parties with respect to the Work Order. Subsequently, the Petitioner issued a legal notice dated 24th March, 2022 thereby invoking arbitration under Section 21 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Further, the ld. Arbitral Tribunal entered reference on 1st June, 2022 and pleadings were completed on 14th October, 2022.

It is stated in the petition that on 5th February, 2024, arguments were advanced by the Respondent but the same could not be concluded. Further, the time limit for passing the arbitral award has expired on 13th April, 2024. 9.
Today, it is submitted by ld. Counsels for both parties that the matter is pending before the three member arbitral tribunal and is at the stage of final arguments. Accordingly, both ld. Counsels for the parties pray that six months' extension may be granted.

Ordered accordingly. The mandate of the tribunal is extended by a further period of six months.
