The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with a prayer to quash the signals dated 06.11.2018 and 09.08.2022 to the extent that the names of the petitioners have been excluded from the list of personnel promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant. The petitioners also pray that the respondents be directed to re-fix their seniority as per the order dated 13.04.2021 passed by this Court in W.P(C) No.4571/2021.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the grievance of the petitioners stands satisfied as the respondents have taken corrective steps in respect of the petitioners' seniority and promotion. He, however, submits that though the petitioners' have now been duly promoted, they are still to receive all consequential benefits. Learned counsel for the respondents assures the Court that all consequential benefits as admissible in law will be granted to the petitioners within 12 weeks from today. The said statement is taken on record and the writ petition is, disposed of by binding the respondents to their aforesaid statement.
