The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking bail in connection with FIR No. 577/2017, under Sections 392/397/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered with PS Pandav Nagar.

Ms Dhalla, learned APP appearing for State submits that trial is at the final stage. The examination-in-chief of the complainant has been recorded and he is required to be cross-examined.

The status report also indicates that the petitioner has been named by the co-accused, as well as the complainant.

In view of the above, this Court does not consider it apposite to allow this application at this stage.

The petition is disposed of leaving it open for the petitioner to apply afresh after a period of four months.

In the meanwhile, Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and complete the same as expeditiously as possible and preferably within the period of four months from today.
