% 28.01.2020 Petitioner is the husband of complainant, who seeks pre-arrest bail in FIR No. 329/2017, under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, registered at police station Hari Nagar.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this is a matrimonial dispute between the parties which has been settled vide Settlement Agreement dated 13th January, 2020 before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre. The settlement amount was Rs. 26,50,000/-, out of which Rs. 6,00,000/- has been paid to complainant/respondent no.2 at the time of Settlement Agreement dated 13.01.2020. A demand draft of Rs. 4,00,000/- has been handed over to complainant/respondent no.2 today in
the Court. Copy of the said demand draft has been placed on record. Balance settlement amount will be paid to complainant as per the terms and conditions of Settlement Agreement dated 13.01.2020. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, it is hereby ordered that in the event of arrest, petitioner be admitted to bail subject to his furnishing bail bond in the sum of ₹15,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Investigating Officer concerned. With aforesaid directions, this application is disposed of. Dasti.
