By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 303/2025, registered at Police Station Maurya Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 110/333/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereafter 'BNS') and all consequent proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties.

All the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 4 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station, Maurya Enclave, Delhi. 6.

Brief facts of the case are that the respondents and petitioners herein are neighbours. That on 04.08.2025 at about 02:30 PM, renovation work was being carried out in the flat of the respondents. During the course of the renovation, a quarrel arose between the petitioners and the respondents regarding the ongoing renovation work. The situation unfortunately escalated into a physical scuffle, during which both the parties sustained minor injuries. Upon the complaint by respondent no. 2, the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioners. It is also stated that a cross-FIR bearing no. 304/2025 was registered at the same Police Station by the respondents against the petitioners. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Settlement Agreement dated 29.10.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 4 who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 303/2025, registered at Police Station Maurya Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 110/333/3(5) of BNS and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
