CM APPL.23662/2025 (for withdrawal of writ petition) 1.

This is an application seeking withdrawal of the present petition. 2.

Learned senior counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, seeks to withdraw the present petition in view of a letter dated 04.03.2025 addressed by the Deputy Land and Development Officers, Land and Development Office, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. The same, inter alia, records as under:

"v. On successful receipt of the aforesaid charges, the order for withdrawal of re-entry shall be issued only after the pending writ petition filed vide WP(C) 6326 of 2021 titled Gita Mehta & Anr. vs. Union of India & Ors. is withdrawn. The withdrawal of the writ petition shall be conveyed to this office with relevant documents to substantiate the same."

In the circumstances, the present application is allowed. W.P.(C) 6326/2021 is, consequently, dismissed as withdrawn. Needless to say, if the petitioner's grievance remains unaddressed, despite the letter dated 04.03.2025, he shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies under law.
