The present petition is filed being essentially aggrieved that the FIR which was registered way back on 23.08.2021 has still not been investigated.

The petitioner, on an earlier occasion, had also filed a petition, which was disposed of by this Court by order dated 10.05.2024 while noting the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel that the chargesheet was likely to be filed within a period of one week. The chargesheet has still not been filed.

The petitioner is a 58 year old man, and claims that he has been falsely implicated by a co-worker in the FIR. 6.

He essentially wants that the investigation be concluded expeditiously so that appropriate steps can be taken for getting his name cleared from the allegations.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that there has been certain lapse on the part of the Investigating Officer who was handling the case. He, however, assures that the chargesheet would be filed within a period of two weeks. He submits that senior officers would also be sensitized in that regard.

Considering the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to withdraw the present petition and file an appropriate petition at a later stage in case any grievance remains.
