% 05.02.2018 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the nature of the prayer made in the present petition which is primarily related to the elections of the Delhi University Students Union for the year 2016-2017, he does not wish to press the present petition any further. He however, submits that in view of the recommendations of their own Committee, the respondents ought to have taken steps for issuing an appropriate handbook of information dealing with the Procedure for conduct of elections.
Mr.Rupal, learned counsel for the respondents submits that respondent No.1 will duly examine the recommendations made by the Committee and take steps as deemed appropriate in the facts of the present case.
