Based on the authoritative mandate provided in the matter of Gautam Sharma v Jawaharlal Nehru University, 2016 SCC OnLine Del 357, this Court vide order dated 02nd May 2019, granted admission to petitioner, subject to the outcome of the petition.

It appears that during pendency of the petition, petitioner is conferred Ph.D. post granting registration and an appropriate certificate to that effect is already issued in favour of petitioner.

The fact remains that respondent in such an eventuality, was expected to deal with the issue which is reflected and forms to be basis for granting admission, referred to in the above order dated 02nd May 2019. Since, petitioner has already completed her Ph.D., we are of the view that no purpose would be served in keeping the present petition pending; we intend to keep the issue open for further consideration in an appropriate matter.

With above observations, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are rendered infructuous.
