The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:- "a.

To issue an appropriate Writ in the nature of "Mandamus"

direction or order directing the respondent to release the petitioner on emergency parole for a period of 08 weeks."

Mr Mehra, learned standing counsel appearing for the State states that the petitioner's application for emergency parole has not been considered as yet.

In the aforesaid circumstances, the concerned authorities are directed to consider the petitioner's application for parole as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a period of one week from today. 5.
