1. The Petitioner, who is presently serving in the BSF and is facing retirement on 30th April, 2019 seeks a direction to the Respondents to extend his service in view of the judgment of this Court in Dev Sharma v. ITBP 2019(174) DRJ 98[DB].

2. The position subsequent to the passing of the above judgment has been clarified by this Court by its order dated 8th February, 2019 in WP (C) No.695/2019 (Ram Chander Kasania v. Union of India). The said clarification would equally apply in the present case as well.
