This matter was listed before the National Lok Adalat on 08.03.2025. 2.

In terms of the settlement before the National Lok Adalat, the Appellant/Insurance Company was directed to deposit the balance 50% of the awarded amount along with interest at the rate of 9% p.a. with effect from the date of filing of the Claim Petition within a period of 6 weeks from 08.03.2025.

Learned Counsel for the Appellant, on instructions, submits that the amount has already been deposited before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal by the Insurance Company.

Since the matter has already been settled, nothing further remains. 5.

The Respondents are at liberty to take appropriate steps for withdrawal of the amount so deposited.
