The Petitioner has been registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act and has been allotted Registration No. 052930016. 2.

It is stated that the registration of the Petitioner was being renewed periodically. It is stated that on checking its application online, the Petitioner came to know that its application for renewal has been rejected because of violations under Section 12(4)(a)(i) of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. It is stated that reasons for rejection have not been communicated to the Petitioner.

This Court vide Order dated 23.02.2023 in Lok Jagriti Kendra v. Union of India, W.P.(C) 13730/2022 and Order dated 26.04.2024 in Aroh Foundation v. Union of India, W.P.(C) 5901/2024 has taken a view that there is an efficacious alternate remedy available to the Petitioner under The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Section 32 of the FCRA, in view of which the Petitioner must first approach the Revisional Authority.

Since the rejection was done way back in the year 2022 and the Petitioner has not been supplied any reason, the Petitioner is directed to approach the competent authority under Section 32 of the FCRA by filing a revision petition.

The Petitioner is directed to file a revision petition within one week from today. The Revisional Authority is directed to give a reasoned order stating reasons as to why the application of the Petitioner for renewal has been rejected.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to approach this Court in case the revision petition is rejected.
