This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs: "A) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus to Respondent No 1 to conduct the election of the Election Committee of the Bar council of Delhi;

B) Set-aside election schedule dated 14.7.2020 by the BCI and;

C) In the alternative, direct respondent No 1 to consider the letter dated22.7.2020 and take a decision consequent thereto." 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has stressed on Rules 44, 46 and 80 of the Bar Council of Delhi Rules to submit that in the absence of an

Election Committee the proposed elections which are to be held as per notification dated 14.07.2020 would be illegal as being contrary to the aforesaid rules.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2 also submits that it would be in the interest of justice that respondent No.1/Bar Council of India may reconsider the matter in the light of the afore-noted rules. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.1 submits that they have no objection and will reconsider the matter in the light of the aforesaid rules.

Let respondent No.1 treat this petition as a representation and deal with the matter accordingly as per law keeping into account the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties.

Respondent No.1 may also keep into account the fact that as per notification dated 14.07.2020 the last date for filing nominations for the post of Office Bearers of the State Bar Council of Delhi is 25.07.2020. The Bar Council may consider modification to the last date for filing nominations and other dates.

It is also suggested that respondent No.1 may defer the election till the decision on the said representation.

Nothing further survives in this writ petition. The same is disposed of accordingly. All pending applications also stands disposed of. JAYANT NATH, J.
