This is a petition seeking quashing of F.I.R. No. 0236/2019 dated 07.08.2019 under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC registered at Police Station Malviya Nagar.

There are cross FIRs registered by the parties. 3.

It is stated that the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 14.10.2024 before the Family Court, Saket and a memorandum of understanding has been executed between the parties. 4.

Petitioner is present in Court today and is identified by his counsel, Ms. Shobha Gupta.

Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and is identified by IO WSI Athina, Police Station Malviya Nagar.

It is stated that there is no child out of the wedlock. 7.

out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. 9.

Hence, the F.I.R. No. 0236/2019 dated 07.08.2019 under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC registered at Police Station Malviya Nagar and any subsequent proceeding arising out of the said F.I.R. are quashed. 10.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
