This writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking the following reliefs:

"a) Issue the direction or grant relief in form of Writ of Mandamus against the Respondent No.2 to 9 and their agent or relatives or family members to stop posing threats directly or indirectly to life and liberty of the Petitioner No.1 & 2;

b) direct the concerned SHO of P.S. Dakshin Puri/Ambedkar Nagar not to take any action against the Petitioner No.1 & 2 on the complaint of the Respondent No.2 to 9 and their agent or relatives or family members and protect the Petitioners in accordance with law from the Respondent No.2 to 9 and their agent or relatives or family members." Status report has been filed on behalf of the State wherein it is stated that mobile numbers of Beat Officer/Investigating Officer/Division Officer and SHO P.S. Ambedkar Nagar have been provided to both the Petitioners and regular visits are being made at their residence by Beat staff and Division Officer to ensure their well being. Parents and family members (Respondents No. 2 to 9) of Ms. Anjali Gupta have been sensitized regarding the rights of an adult daughter/family members. It is further stated that both Petitioners are living happily and no further complaint has been received from them alleging threats to them or to their family members. In view of the status report, the grievances ventilated in the present petition stand redressed and no further order is required to be passed. 3.

Another fact however needs to be noted that during the pendency of this petition, parties have resolved all their disputes before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre and a Settlement Agreement incorporating the terms of settlement was executed on 08.12.2022, copy of which has been placed on record. One of the terms of settlement is that Respondents No. 6 and 9 in the present petition will be deleted from the array of parties after which Petitioners shall withdraw the present petition. In terms of the settlement, amended memo of parties has been filed deleting the said Respondents from the array of parties. The settlement is taken on record and needless to state that parties shall remain bound by the terms thereof. 4.

Writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms alongwith all pending applications.
