% 27.07.2020 (hearing through Video Conferencing) CRL.M.A. 9918/2020 & CRL.M.A. 9919/2020 (Ex.) Exemptions allowed subject to all just exceptions. The applications stand disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 1130/2020 Vide the present petition, the petitioners seek protection of their lives against alleged threats meted out by the respondent nos.4, 5 & 6, in as much as, it has been submitted that the petitioners have since married

of their own accord and that they had apprehended honour killing from respondent nos.4, 5 & 6.

At the outset, as per the status report that had been submitted on behalf of the State under the signatures of the SHO, PS Chandni Mahal dated 26.07.2020, SI Mohit Malik had met the petitioners and had provided the mobile numbers of the deputed staff for communication in any emergency. Learned ASC for the State has further submitted that the statement of the petitioner no.1 has since been recorded as per which, she has stated that there is no threat now that is in existence from the respondent nos.4, 5 & 6.

It has also been informed on behalf of the State that the statements of respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6 have also been recorded by the Investigating Agency as per which they have stated that they have disowned the petitioner no.1 and that they do not have any further relations with her but that they want the petitioner nos. 1 & 2 who have stated to have since married, to live happily and that there exists no apprehension to the petitioners from the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6 whatsoever. Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6 is also present and in reply to a specific Court query submits that he has recently been engaged by the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6 and that the authorization would be filed during the course of the day and has further submitted that he is under instructions from the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6 that they do not wish to have any further relations with the petitioner no.1 and that they however, only want the petitioner nos. 1 & 2 to live happily onwards and that the petitioners need not fear any apprehensions to their lives from the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6.

The respondent nos.4, 5 & 6 would be bound by the submissions made on their behalf by Mr.N.C.Chauhan, Advocate now.

The State shall however ensure that as and when there is requirement of any protection from the petitioners made to the State through SHO, PS Chandni Mahal or even to the SHO, PS Nangloi, adequate protection would be provided by the State to the petitioners as also by providing the mobile numbers of the deputed constable and other staff of the area concerned.

The petitioners are always entitled to seek redressal, if any, in accordance with law in the event of any further cause of action. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
