The status report says that investigation in case FIR No. 366/2016 is complete; that charge-sheet has been filed on 19.08.2020; that the learned trial court has taken cognizance; and the accused has also been summonsed for 07.10.2020. It further records that suitable departmental action has also been recommended against the Investigating Officer for the delay in completing investigation and in preparation of charge-sheet. W.P. Mr. Puneet Mittal, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, that in view of what is said in the status report, nothing further survives in the petition; which may be disposed of as having been satisfied.

Mr. Mittal however prays that since the FIR is of 10.07.2016, the trial may be expedited.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as having been satisfied, with a request to the learned trial court to complete the trial in the matter as expeditiously as possible.
