The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, for a direction upon the respondent-Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi ["GNCTD"] to demarcate the property [1 Bigha of land falling in Khasra No.540 to 545/461/3 min, Village Jasola, Mehrauli, Delhi], which he claims to have purchased by way of a registered Sale Deed dated 20.01.1988. 2.

Learned counsel for GNCTD, who appears on advance notice, states upon instructions, that the land has already been urbanised, and jurisdiction for the purpose of demarcation and mutation, both lie with Delhi Development Authority ["DDA"].
