O R D E R

The present writ petition is filed by the Petitioner seeking the following reliefs:

"a. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, directing the Respondent No. 1 to forthwith declare the final result of the Petitioner for the post of Constable (Gd) in CAPFS, SSF, and Rifleman (Gd) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2025, bearing roll no. 2201082687 and registration no. 10019079375.

b. Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order, or Direction, directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner for appointment to the said post with all consequential benefits, including seniority and emoluments, from the date his result ought to have been declared, i.e., 15.01.2026.

c. Issue a Writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate Writ, Order, or Direction, quashing the arbitrary, illegal, and unconstitutional action of the Respondents in withholding the Petitioner's final result without assigning any specific, valid, or legally tenable reason.

d. Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order, or Direction, directing the Respondents to provide a detailed and specific explanation for the withholding of the Petitioner's result, and to afford him an opportunity of being heard and to address any specific discrepancy or concern, should any be found.

e. Issue such other writ/ order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper.

f. Pass any such/further orders or directions as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the interest of justice."

After selection of the Petitioner, his appointment has been withheld in order to verify the documents submitted by him. The Respondent authorities have already taken almost 4 months to verify the documents.

Keeping in view the aforesaid position, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the Respondent authorities to complete the process of verification expeditiously, but not later than 02 months from date.
