1. The appellant and respondent no. 1 are present in court. 2.

After some arguments, the parties have agreed to settle their disputes. 2.1 Respondent no.1 has stated, in no uncertain terms, that he is willing to bring the dispute to an end if the appellant pays him Rs.7.5 lakhs towards full and final settlement of his claim.

Counsel for the appellant, on instructions, has agreed to pay Rs.7.50 lakhs to the respondents, in the manner adverted to hereafter, after adjusting the amount already paid on the previous date The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. We may note that on the previous date i.e., 22.04.2024 the appellant had handed over Rs.1 lakh in cash to Ms Niddhi i.e., counsel for the respondents. 4.1 Respondent no.1 has affirmed that he has received the said sum from his counsel.

Furthermore, the appellant has handed over another tranche of Rs.1 lakh, albeit in cash to respondent no.1 in Court today. 5.1 Thus, in effect, what remains to be paid to the respondents against the settlement amount i.e., Rs.7.50 lakhs is Rs.5.50 lakhs. 6.

The appellant has undertaken to pay (and the respondents have agreed to receive) the remaining amount in the following manner: (i) Rs.1 lakh would be paid on or before 10.05.2024. (ii) The remaining amount i.e., Rs.4.50 lakhs will be paid on or before 30.07.2024.

The said amount i.e., Rs.5.50 lakhs will be remitted to the bank account maintained by respondent no.1with the Jangpura branch of Axis Bank Ltd. The details concerning the same are set forth hereafter: 7.1 Account No. 923010060914119, Account Holder's Name - Irfan Hussain, Branch Name - Axis Bank Ltd., Jungpura, Delhi-110011, IFSC CodeUTIB0003329. 8.

It is made clear that in case a default is committed in complying with the terms of the settlement, the appellant will pay the entire decretal amount to the respondents.

The appellant will file an affidavit undertaking to adhere to the terms of the settlement as indicated above.
