The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that medical records of the petitioner be called for from the Tihar Jail No. 3 and the petitioner be released on parole for a period of eight weeks to undergo urgent surgery.

The present petition was heard on 13.08.2020 and it was suggested by the counsel for the respondent that considering the petitioner's medical condition, he could be granted custody parole for seeking treatment in the hospital of his choice. The present petition was adjourned to enable the counsel for the petitioner to get instructions in this regard. 3.

petitioner is suffering from oral cancer and requires extensive treatment. 4.

Ms Rao, learned ASC appearing for the State submits that the jail authorities shall ensure that the necessary medical treatment is provided to the petitioner, as advised.

In view of the said statement, Mr Singh does not press this petition any further.

The present petition is disposed of with a direction that necessary medical treatment, as advised, be provided to the petitioner. 7.

The learned counsel appearing for CBI points out that the presence of Mr Nikhil Goel, learned counsel who appeared for the CBI on 13.08.2020 is not recorded in the said order. The said order is rectified to record his appearance for the CBI.
