The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, seeking quashing of the FIR No. 0223/2018 under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) registered at P.S. Dabri and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Respondent no.2 (Smt Kajal) is present in Court and she states that she has been divorced from petitioner no.1 by mutual consent. She points out that their marriage was dissolved by an order dated 20.03.2019. She also states that the parties have settled all their inter se disputes in terms of a settlement arrived at before the Counselling Cell, Family Courts, Dwarka Court, New Delhi in Case No. M-293/2018.

In terms of the settlement, petitioner no.1 had agreed to pay a sum of ₹3 lakhs to respondent no.2 in full and final settlement of all her claims.
Respondent no.2 confirms that in terms of the settlement, petitioner no.1 has already paid ₹2 lakhs to her. Petitioner no.1 has handed over a demand draft (bearing No. 977566 dated 22.08.2019 drawn on Punjab National Bank) for the balance sum of ₹1 lakh today in Court to respondent no.2. And, respondent no.2 has accepted the same in full and final statement of all her claims.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the FIR No. 0223/2018 under Section 498-A of the IPC registered at P.S. Dabri and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 5.
The concerned petitioners (petitioner nos. 1 to 6) and the respondent no. 2 shall sign a copy of this order as an acknowledgement of their statements recorded herein.
