The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking prayers as under:

"a. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondent No 1 to ensure the immediate repair of the street lights installed along Jagatpur Yamuna Pusta Road to make them operational.

b. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondent No. 2 and 3 to remove obstacles/hinderances on Yamuna Pusta Road (Wazirabad to Hiranki).

c. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus and direct the Respondents to pay the cost of this petition to the petitioner." 4.

It has been brought out the notice of this Court that the petitioner has filed various representations to the concerned authorities, however, no action has been taken on the said representation till date. 5.

After some hearing, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the concerned authority of GNCTD / respondent no.1 to consider the grievances highlighted by the petitioner as regards the street lights. Further, the concerned authorities of the respondent no.1 and the respondent no.2 (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) are directed to consider the present petition as a representation as regards alleged obstacles/ hindrances on Yamuna Pusta Road (Wazirabad to Hiranki). 6.

The above officials are directed to bestow their active consideration to the matter and take such remedial steps as may be warranted. Let the needful be done as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of eight weeks from today.

Dr. Sarbjit Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.3/Delhi Police submits that although no relief has been sought/ is maintainable against the said respondent, if any action is required to be taken by the said respondent upon disposal of the aforesaid representation/s, the needful shall be done by the said respondent. 8.

In case, the petitioner is aggrieved by the outcome of the aforesaid exercise, he shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies under law. 9.
