By an Award dated 25.07.2015, the learned Presiding Officer, MACT has awarded a sum of Rs.4,21,882/- with interest @ 12% per annum in favour of the respondent No.1, who has suffered injuries in accident in question, against the respondent no.2 (Insurer) with recovery rights from the appellants (owner and driver herein). 2.

The appellants (owner and driver) have deposited entire awarded amount of Rs.5,68,262/- including the interest with the Tribunal, which is kept in the FDR.

Now, it has been settled between the appellants and the insurer (respondent No.2) that a sum of Rs.5,75,000/-, out of the amount so deposited (Rs.5,68,262/- and interest thereon) shall be released to the

insurer and the balance amount shall be refunded to the depositor/Appellant (s). However, the statutory amount, if any, deposited by the appellants with the registry of this court, be refunded along with accrued interest to the depositor/Appellant (s). 4.

Accordingly, the appeal is disposed of.
