The present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 20th March, 2025 passed in W.P(C) 1626/2025 titled White House Flat Owners Association v. New Delhi Municipal Council & Ors. and W.P.(C) 3426/2025 titled Pradeep Rai v. New Delhi Municipal Council and Anr.

A statement of the respondent no.1 was recorded in the aforesaid order that he shall maintain status quo as regards construction during the pendency of the petitions.

The Court took the aforesaid statement on record and directed the respondent no.1 to be bound by the same.

In the status report filed on behalf of the respondent/ NDMC on 2nd May, 2025, it has been stated that no construction work has been carried out between 21st March, 2025 and 17th April, 2025. 4.

In the subsequent status report filed on behalf of the respondent/ NDMC on 10th February, 2026 as well, there is no averment that construction has been carried out after passing of the order dated 20th March, 2025.

In view thereof, no case of contempt is made out. 6.

Accordingly, the present contempt petition stands closed. 7.

Consequently, all pending applications stand disposed of.
