Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner presses for reliefs (i), (ii) and (iii) only.

Photographs have been filed along with the writ petition showing that an iron gate has been installed on a public lane situated in Karkardooma, East Delhi ('subject area') and the subject area is being used for parking purposes.

subject area has been fixed for 20th May, 2026 and a communication has been sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara on 5th May, 2026.

The said communication has been handed over in Court today and the same is permitted to be taken on record.

Mr. Arora, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents no.5 and 6/ BSES submits that they will also co-ordinate with the respondent-MCD on the said date and inspect whether there is any unauthorized electricity connection in the subject area.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the private respondent no.7 submits that the iron gate has been installed only on a temporary basis for the safety of the local residents and the said gate is locked only in the night time. He also questions the locus of the petitioner to file the present petition. 7.

Having heard the counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of, while directing respondent-MCD to take action for removal of encroachment on the date fixed, i.e., 20th May, 2026. 8.

Respondents no.3 and 4/ Delhi Police are directed to provide adequate police force on the aforesaid date, which will include a Lady Police Officer. 9.

Officials of respondents no.5 and 6/ BSES shall also carry out the inspection on the said date and take appropriate action, in accordance with law.

In the event, the petitioner has any further grievance, the petitioner would be at liberty to take appropriate remedy in accordance with law. 11.

All rights, contentions and legal remedies of the private respondent no.7 are kept open.
