Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that the matter has settled between the parties, and the Petitioner has agreed to pay Rs. 6 lakhs to the Respondent/Workman in settlement of claims of all the Respondent/Workman.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that since the matter between the parties stands settled, nothing survives for further adjudication in the matter. It is further submitted that in pursuance to the Settlement Agreement dated 06.05.2024 [hereinafter referred to as 'Settlement Agreement'], executed before Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, a Settlement amount of Rs. 6 lakhs have been agreed. The Petitioner through his Counsel undertakes that the Settlement amount of Rs. 6 lakhs shall be paid through six post-dated cheques of Rs. 1 lakh each drawn on Punjab National Bank, Branch Batra Hospital, New Delhi, in favour of the Respondent/Workman. The details of the cheques are as follows:

(i) Cheque bearing no. 922371 dated 10.05.2024;

(ii) Cheque bearing no. 922372 dated 25.06.2024;

(iii) Cheque bearing no. 922373 dated 10.08.2024;

(iv) Cheque bearing no. 922374 dated 25.09.2024;

(v) Cheque bearing no. 922375 dated 10.11.2024; and, (vi) Cheque bearing no. 922376 dated 25.12.2024;

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner undertakes that the cheque shall be honoured on presentation.

The Respondent/Workman appearing in person, identified by his Counsel, in reply to a specific Court query, affirms the above-mentioned Settlement Agreement and that he has signed the settlement of his own accord without any duress or coercion.

The Respondent/Workman affirms that this payment shall be accepted in full and final settlement of all his disputes with the Petitioner and that he will withdraw the pending litigation between him and the Petitioner once the entire payment has been received.

The parties are directed to abide by the terms of the Settlement Agreement.

The Petition stands disposed of. In terms of the settlement between the parties, all pending Applications stand closed. 8.
