% 07.08.2020 By order dated 03.07.2020 made in Bail Appl. 1324/2020, the applicant was granted interim bail for 30 days from the date of his release, which period expires today.

By way of the present application, the applicant seeks extension of interim bail for 45 days.

Other things apart, by operation of orders dated 13.07.2020 and 24.07.2020 made by a Full Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) No. 3037/2020 titled Court on its own Motion vs. State & Ors., it has inter alia been clarified that, in view of the serious threat of spread of the coronavirus pandemic in prison, where undertrials are on interim bail as on the date of that order, irrespective of whether they were released before or after 16.03.2020, such interim orders shall stand BAIL APPL. 2085/2020 Page of
extended till 31.08.2020 on the same terms and conditions as were imposed earlier.

Accordingly, the interim bail granted to the applicant by order dated 03.07.2020 stands extended till 31.08.2020.
