The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondent/BSES Yamuna Power Limited to grant electricity meter connection to the petitioner's property situated at 7921-7922, Nai Basti, Ram Nagar, Pahar Ganj, New Delhi-110055.

Per contra, learned counsel appearing for the respondent/BSES Yamuna Power Limited, submits that the present writ petition would not be maintainable as the petitioner has an efficacious remedy available to him to approach Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum, under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003.

After some arguments, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks liberty to withdraw the present writ petition in order to approach the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to appropriate remedy by approaching the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003.
