The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent to release the petitioner on emergency parole for a period of eight weeks.

Mr Tyagi, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that although the petitioner's application for parole was decided but his application for emergency parole is pending consideration. 3.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to direct the concerned authority to consider the petitioner's application for emergency parole and communicate its decision as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of seven working days from today.
