The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent to produce the minor daughter of the petitioner.

The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent hands over a copy of the Status Report dated 20.05.2026, which inter alia details the efforts made to trace out the minor girl. The same is taken on record.

The status report states that there exists suspicion on one boy namely Golu, son of Mr.Bablu, who is aged around 22 years, and had The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. been residing in an area nearby the residence of the girl. He has also been missing since the date of the incident. It is also stated that a police team attempted to search for the minor girl at the native place of the suspect in Bihar, however, the minor girl, as also the suspect were not found there. It was further discovered that the suspect, alongwith the minor girl, has unfortunately crossed the border to Kathmandu, Nepal, which was ascertained by the IP logs related to the Instagram account of the suspect.

The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent assures us that further efforts shall continue to be made to trace out the minor girl and bring her back.

Keeping in view the above, we direct that regular bi-monthly Status Reports on the efforts made by the respondent to trace the minor girl, shall be filed by the respondent before the concerned Magistrate. The petitioner shall also be informed of the same and shall be entitled to participate in the proceedings before the concerned Magistrate.
