The present petition inter alia seeks that the respondent/MCD be directed to decide the representation dated 11.04.2024 submitted by the petitioner to the Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths. 2.

The said representation has been submitted in the background of the fact that there is a discrepancy in the death certificate issued by the respondent/MCD qua the husband of the petitioner i.e., Mohan Lal who died on 20.01.2022.

The petitioner is stated to have submitted representations, including the aforesaid representation dated 11.04.2024, seeking rectification of the death certificate to reflect the correct name of the spouse of the deceased. However, the said representation has not been decided. 4.

There is no justification for the failure on the part of the MCD to decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner, and make a sincere attempt to redress the grievance of the petitioner.
