The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.605/2018, under Section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003, registered at P.S.: Mehrauli, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the parties submitted that the parties have settled their disputes on their own free will, without any force or coercion before the Chariperson, Permanent Lok Adalat-I, New Delhi on 15.11.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent No.2 has already issued a No Objection Ceriticate which is annexed as Annexure-2 on the record.

Learned counsel for the respondent No.2 also admitted the same and submitted that the matter already stands settled before Chariperson, Permanent Lok Adalat-I, New Delhi on 15.11.2018, in terms whereof the petitioner has made the payment of Rs.1 lac as full and final settlement amount and the respondent No.2 has issued him the No Objection Certificate.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in view of the No Objection Certificate issued by the respondent No.2, the present petition may be allowed and the FIR may be quashed. 5.

The Investigating Officer ('IO'), who is present in Court, has identified the petitioner and has also verified the settlement arrived at between the parties.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances and the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.605/2018, under Section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003, registered at P.S.: Mehrauli, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in above terms.
