By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioner seeks following prayers:- "(i) Direct the IO/SHO PS Paharganj to provide protection to the petitioner in the event she was harassed by her husband's family members."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has left the matrimonial home alongwith her child and apprehends threat at the hand of her in-laws.

Issue notice.

Learned Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice and submits that so far, no complaint has been received in the police station. She, however, on instructions, submits that the number of beat officer as well as SHO would be provided to the petitioner. The IO/SHO share ensure that steps are taken to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners. 5.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall be at liberty to seek legal recourse as may be available under the law.
