CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

O R D E R

% 13.03.2020 1.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos. 1 and 2 to provide adequate protection and safety to the petitioners from respondent no.3. 2.

The petitioners claim that respondent no.3 is harassing them and continues to harass them and is not permitting petitioner nos. 1 and 2, who are senior citizens, to live in peace in their own house. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioner had already filed an application under Rule 22 (3) (1) of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, as amended from time to time. However, the concerned District Magistrate has not passed any orders yet.

4.

Insofar as the petitioners' prayer for seeking protection is concerned, this Court directs the concerned SHO to provide phone numbers of the beat constable in order for petitioner nos. 1 and 2 to access the police official in case of any eventuality.

5.

This Court further directs the concerned District Magistrate to consider any application under Rule 22 (3) (1) of the said Rules filed by petitioner nos. 1 and 2 as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of four weeks of the same being filed in accordance with law. All rights and remedies of the parties are reserved. 6.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. The pending application is also disposed of.
