% 17.08.2020 The petitioner seeks protection from alleged threat and intimidation extended by respondent No. 4, who is the petitioner's son and who is stated to have changed his gender. 2.

Mr. Vipin Gupta, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been residing separately from respondent No. 4 for the last about 24 years, since there was a dispute between the petitioner and his wife; though the petitioner has been taking care of the financial requirements and livelihood of his wife eversince.

The petitioner alleges that respondent No. 4 has been illegally demanding money from the petitioner and committing acts which embarrass the petitioner when such illegal requests are denied. W.P.(CRL.) No. 1240/2020 Page of

A written complaint dated 23.07.2020 is stated to have been made by the petitioner to respondents Nos. 2 and 3, namely Commissioner of Police, Delhi and SHO PS : Mandir Marg, against respondent No. 4, but to no avail.

Issue notice.

Mr. Avi Singh, learned ASC appears for respondents Nos. 1 to 3 on advance copy; accepts notice; and submits that pursuant to the complaint made by the petitioner, inquiries were made and a kalandra has been filed against respondent No. 4 under sections 107/150 Cr.P.C. and further that the cellphone numbers of the SHO PS : Mandir Marg and of the concerned Beat Constable have already been furnished to the petitioner, to be used in any eventuality. 7.

Mr. Singh submits that other than this, no further action is warranted at this stage.

The statements made by Mr. Singh are taken on record. 9.

Mr. Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that subject to the police authorities being responsive to the petitioner's complaints, as and when made, the present petition may be disposed of.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of on the basis of the statements made on behalf of the State as recorded above. 11.
