O.M.P. (MISC.) 13/2024 By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks an extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of six months for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing the Award. Issue notice. Mr. S. Surender, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

The learned arbitrator was appointed by this court and the pleadings stood completed on 12.10.2022. parties mutually agreed to further extension of the mandate for a period of six months.

Learned counsels for both parties submit that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 12.04.2024 and further extension has been sought for a period of six months.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended till 12.10.2024. The period from 12.04.2024 is also regularised.

The petition stands disposed of.
