% 07.09.2020 This petition has been heard through video conferencing. This petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the Office Order dated 30.07.2020 passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, General Administration, Delhi, informing the petitioner as under:- "No permission will be granted beyond 11.08.2020 and the Retd. Inspr. should vacate the quarter on or before 11.08.2020 after clearing the outstanding dues and handover the vacant possession of quarter to SHO/Sarai Rohilla, under intimation to all concerned failing which damage charges/market rent @ Rs. 25,850/- PM (@ 55 times of normal licence fee of Rs. 470/- PM) w.e.f. 12.08.2020 will be recovered besides taking legal action U/s 27(2) of Delhi Police Act-1978 for eviction." The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions submits that the petitioner undertakes to vacate the government quarter by 30.09.2020.
An undertaking to this effect be filed by the petitioner within a period of one week from today before this Court.
Subject to the above undertaking and binding the petitioner thereto, the petitioner shall not be charged damage charges/market rent and he shall be liable to pay double the license fee at the rate Rs. 940/- per month as was being charged to the petitioner till 11.08.2020. Incase for any reason the petitioner fails to comply with the undertaking, this consession granted to the petitioner shall stand withdrawn. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
