Present public interest petition has been filed challenging the constitutional validity of the notification/advertisement for Combined Defence Services("CDS") Examination Notice No.4/2024.CDS-I dated 20th December, 2023 issued by the Respondent no. 3 on the ground that it is violative of Articles 14, 15, 16 and 19 of Constitution of India. The Petitioner further prays for directions to the Respondents to allow eligible female candidates to appear for the CDS Examination conducted by the Respondent No. 4 and to train at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Air Force Academy (AFA) of the Indian Armed Forces.

A perusal of the paper book reveals that the Petitioner had made a representation dated 22nd December, 2023 to the Secretary, Ministry of Defence with respect to the reliefs sought for in the present petition. However, the said representation has not been decided till date. 3.
Consequently, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No. 2 to decide the Petitioner's representation dated 22nd December, 2023 in accordance with the law within eight weeks. The rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
