W.P.(CRL) 1397/2019 Ld. Counsel for the petitioner has prayed for protection of Ms. Reba Kapur, petitioner/ complainant as well as her daughter
Sheboo Kapur, who are the witnesses/ victims of serious offences under Sections 395/397/412 IPC and their testimonies during the trial of the said offences, are likely to be concluded by next date of hearing i.e. 29.11.2019 and there is no security to these witnesses during the night time. He further submitted that SHO, New Friends Colony be directed to provide them protection till conclusion of their deposition.
Ld. Addl. Standing Counsel for State has submitted that protection has already been granted to these witnesses from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. besides this one Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) is also kept present near their house.
Heard. Till the next date of hearing before the Trial Court i.e. 29.11.2019, let DCP concerned depute some police official at the residence of the petitioners/ witnesses during the night time as well. In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that his prayer in the petition stands satisfied and he withdraws the same. The petition stand disposed of accordingly. However, petitioners are at liberty to file appropriate application in case of non compliance of directions of this Court. Copy of this order be given Dasti to both the parties, as prayed.
