The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeking police protection, in view of apprehension of threat to his life and liberty from respondent Nos. 4 and 5. 2.

It is stated in the petition that the petitioner works as a delivery boy for respondent Nos. 4 and 5, and a dispute has arisen on account of an allegation that some articles of silver entrusted to him for booking a parcel were found missing at the destination. The petitioner alleges that respondent Nos. 4 and 5 have threatened him and his family with loss of life and liberty.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel for the State, submits that the petitioner has not cooperated after making the complaint to the Police Station in this regard on 05.05.2026, to the extent that he did not disclose his full address or provide any contact details of respondent Nos. 4 and 5. Nevertheless, Mr. Lao states that the telephone number of the concerned Station House Officer ["SHO"] and Beat Constable having jurisdiction over the area of the petitioner's residence will be given to him so that they can be contacted in case of any exigency. 4.

Mr. Sunil Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner's full address and the telephone numbers of respondent Nos. 4 and 5 have been provided in the memo of parties. However, Mr. Lao points out that the address of the petitioner given in the memo of parties is incomplete and at variance with the address in his Aadhar Card. 5.

The petitioner is directed to communicate the correct address to the Investigating Officer from Police Station Gandhi Nagar, who is present in Court. If the petitioner's residential address falls under the jurisdiction of a different Police Station, the SHO of Police Station Gandhi Nagar is directed to communicate this order to the SHO of the relevant Police Station, so that the directions may be passed on to the relevant officer. 6.

As no further orders are sought in this writ petition, the petition, alongwith pending applications, is disposed of in terms of the above. 7.

It is made clear that this Court has not issued notice to respondent Nos. 4 and 5, and this order is not intended to reflect upon the veracity of the petitioner's allegations. Needless to say, the rights and contentions of the parties remain reserved.
