Present Writ Petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr. P. C. for quashing of FIR No. 465/2014 registered under Section 406/498A/506/34 IPC at PS Dwarka, New Delhi. It is stated that the matter has been amicably settled with the complainant/respondent No. 2 on 21.03.2015 before Mediation Centre. Rs. 3 lacs has been given to the complainant vide DD No. 008311 dated 14.01.2016 today in Court, in compliance with the settlement which took place before the Mediation Centre vide Settlement Deed dated 21.03.2015. 2.
Complainant/respondent No.2 is present and has been identified by the counsel. I have enquired from the complainant if she has settled the dispute with the petitioners amicably without any fear or Crl. M C No. 271/2016

pressure. She has informed that all the disputes between the parties have been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. 3.
The petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Since the dispute between the parties has been settled before Mediation Centre, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to put an end to the litigation and settle in life after divorce by mutual consent, FIR No. 465/2014 registered under Section 406/498A/506/34 IPC at PS Dwarka, New Delhi and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
Pending application also stands disposed of.
