The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.73/2021 registered under Sections 420/468/471 IPC at Police Station New Ashok Nagar, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the petitioners are alleged to have committed the offence of cheating, making false documents and forgery of valuable document by forging signatures and using respondent No.2's ID to take a personal loan. It is further pertinent to note that the present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner No. 1 (husband). 3.

complainant/victim in the present case.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that as per the terms of settlement reached before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 09.11.2022, it was agreed that the parties shall take efforts to get the present FIR quashed. As per the terms of settlement, petitioner No.1 has already paid entire settlement amount of Rs.6,00,000/-, as full and final settlement, to the respondent No. 2.

Petitioners and respondent No.2, who are present in Court, have been identified by their respective counsel as well as by I.O./SI K.P. Singh, P.S. New Ashok Nagar.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has settled her disputes with petitioners out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also acknowledges the receipt of entire settlement amount and submits that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioners. 7.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
