(CRL) 1289/2020 The petitioner, who appears in-person, is aggrieved by the fact that the learned Sessions Court, which was seized of Criminal Revision Petition No.CRR/630/2019 filed by respondent No. 2, has still not pronounced orders that were reserved on 12.03.2020. The matter has been repeatedly adjourned and the next date is now 29.08.2020. 2.

The petitioner-in-person contends that pendency of the Criminal Revision Petition is delaying proceedings in his complaint for defamation filed under sections 499/500 IPC.

Mr. R.S. Kundu, learned ASC enters appearance on behalf of respondent No. 1/State on advance copy; and submits that since the proceedings arise from a private complaint under section 200 Cr.P.C., the State has no role in the matter.

Mr. Pramod Kumar Dubey, learned counsel appears on behalf of respondent No.2/M/s. PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited on advance copy; and submits that respondent No. 2 has no objection to the prayer made; and would in fact support early disposal of the Criminal Revision Petition.

Without delving into the cause/s of delay, which evidently must have resulted inter-alia from the restricted functioning of courts due to the prevailing coronavirus pandemic; and without alluding to the allegations and counter-allegations between the contesting parties, it is directed that the learned Sessions Court should pronounce final orders in Criminal Revision Petition CRR No. 630/2019 titled M/s PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited vs. Sarvesh Mathur at the earliest, and in any event within 01 (one) month of this order. 6.

The present petition is disposed of in the above terms. 7.

Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. 8.

Copy of this order be communicated to the learned Sessions Court forthwith.
