Through the present Petition, the Petitioners seek issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to release the gratuity, pension, terminal dues, Department Insurance Fund, and other monetary benefits which had accrued upon the death of late Sh. Hasmuddin Khan, in favour of the Petitioners. 2.
The Petitioners are the parents of late Sh. Hasmuddin Khan, whereas Respondent No.4 is his wife. Late Sh. Hasmuddin Khan is also survived by two children. Thus, he left behind a widow and two
(02) children. As per the records of the Department, the nominee at the time of his death was Respondent No.4.

As per the applicable service rules, the terminal benefits are required to be released in the first instance in favour of the nominee. 4.
In view of the above, the present Petition is disposed of, with a direction to Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to release the terminal benefits in accordance with the applicable rules and the nomination on record.
