The Petitioner is a citizen of Uzbekistan who married an Indian Citizen. She had initially applied for an OCI card and thereafter received a visa for staying in India. Her visa last expired on 31st March, 2020. An email was sent by the Petitioner seeking extension of her Visa. Since she did not receive any response from the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (hereinafter, "FRRO"), she has filed the present writ petition. 3.
Mr. Ajay Digpaul, ld. counsel appearing for the FRRO submits that the Visa of the Petitioner has already been extended till 31st March, 2021. A communication to the said effect is stated to have been sent on 19th August, 2020. A copy of the said communication has been placed on record and has also been handed over to Mr. Siddharth Sharma, ld. counsel for the Petitioner.

Mr. Siddharth Sharma, ld. counsel submits that he does not have any By:PRATHIBA M SINGH
instructions on the communication received by the Petitioner. He, however submits that if the said communication has been sent to the Petitioner then the present writ petition may be disposed of as satisfied. At this stage, ld. counsel has acknowledged receipt of the e-mail dated 19th August, 2020 by the Petitioner vide e-mail dated 20th August, 2020. The Petitioner's e-mail is taken on record.

The communication having already been sent with regard to extension of the Petitioner's visa, the Petitioner's prayer has, in effect been satisfied. The Petitioner shall ensure that charges in respect of the extension would be deposited within the time prescribed.

With these observations, the present petition and all pending applications are disposed of.
