Exemption allowed, subject to the condition that petitioner will file the duly sworn/attested affidavit within 72 hours from the date of resumption of the regular functioning of this Court. 3.

The application stands disposed of.

The petitioners filed this writ petition with the following prayers:- "1) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondents to provide adequate security to the petitioners and to ensure their safety and well-being.

2) Restrain the Respondents No. 6 to 8 for interfering in the life of Petitioners

3) Pass any other order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of Justice" .

The counsel for the petitioners submits that both petitioners have attained the age of majority and both got married on 24.7.2020. Since this is an inter-caste marriage so the mother and two brothers of petitioner No.1 are threatening both the petitioners of dire consequences.

Learned counsel for the petitioners also submitted that prior to her marriage, she was given electric shocks as also brutally beaten and that there is a grave apprehension that in case police protection is not provided to her and to her husband they may be killed by family members of petitioner No.1.

The petitioners submit that they have attained age of majority and have also filed their age proofs as Annexure A. The petitioners 1 and 2 due to fear are changing residence every now and then and are presently residing at Inderpuri, Delhi but are inclined to live permanently at Begampur address with parents of petitioner no. 2. 8.

In the circumstances, both the petitioners are directed to approach the SHO, police station Begumpur, Delhi who shall assess the threat perception and shall grant police protection to them. The SHO concerned may provide his own mobile number as also mobile numbers of his beat constables/beat staff officers so that in case of any need they can be contacted immediately by the petitioners and protection may be given to them. Any other mode of protection which

the SHO concerned may think appropriate may be provided. 9.

In view of the above order petition stands disposed of. Pending application(s) if any, also stands disposed of. YOGESH KHANNA, J.
