This is a petition filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of award. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that upon disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to the agreement dated 02.04.2015, arbitration was invoked. He submits that despite the parties diligently participating in the arbitration proceedings, the same
have remained inconclusive and in the meanwhile the mandate of the learned Arbitrator has expired on 07.03.2020. He, therefore, prays that the time for completion of the arbitration proceedings and rendering of award be extended by one-year w.e.f. 08.03.2020. 5.
Issue notice. Ms.Meghna Sankla, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and submits that without admitting the averments made in the petition, she has no objection to the prayer sought in the present petition.

In view of the aforesaid stand taken by the learned counsel the respondent as also the fact that much time and labour has already been spent in the arbitration proceedings, the time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of award is, with the consent of the parties, extended by one year reckoned from 08.03.2020. Consequently, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator stands extended till 07.03.2021.
