By way of the present petition, the petitioner assails an order dated 16.05.2026 passed by the learned Sessions Court in Cr. Rev. 304/2026, to the limited extent that no interim relief has been granted in favour of the petitioner, against the order dated 04.05.2026 passed by the learned Magistrate, whereby directions were issued under Section 175(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for registration of an FIR against the petitioner.

After some arguments, Mr. K.K. Manan, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. Kumar submit that the disputes between the parties arise out of a monetary transaction, and that the parties are willing to make an endeavour to amicably resolve the disputes through mediation.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, the parties are referred to mediation under the aegis of Samadhan, Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Shershah Road, New Delhi - 110503. 5.
The parties shall appear before the learned Mediator on 21.05.2026 at 4:00 PM.

The aforesaid revision petition pending before the learned Sessions Court is next listed on 07.07.2026. The report of the learned Mediator shall be placed before the learned Sessions Court on the said date. In the event the parties are unable to arrive at an amicable settlement, the learned Sessions Court may consider the revision petition on merits, on the next date of hearing.

Learned counsel for the parties also agree that, in order to enable the parties to explore the possibility of settlement in earnest, the FIR pursuant to the order dated 04.05.2026, may not be registered till the next date of hearing before the learned Sessions Court, i.e. 07.07.2026. 8.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The present order has been passed solely on the statements made by learned counsel for the parties, in view of their willingness to explore the possibility of an amicable resolution of the disputes.
